Before I even joined the agency, this project had already captured my attention. During my initial interview, I was introduced to Augmented History by Mike Roe, the Executive Creative Director, who shared his passion for digitally restoring Milwaukee’s historic Third Ward ghost signs. Using archival references from the Milwaukee Public Library and the Wisconsin Historical Society, the project aimed to preserve these fading advertisements through digital recreation. Once I joined the team, I had the opportunity to contribute directly by recreating additional ghost signs with precision and historical accuracy. My role involved detailed digital restoration, ensuring each sign retained its original character while being brought back to life in a modern format. Beyond the recreations, I also developed supporting assets for social media and award show submissions.
