Memento Mori - Personal Collection

Memento Mori - Personal Collection

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The collection included a typographic wordmark, a poster, a trifold brochure, and digital social media posts. The project's dual purpose was to encapsulate my adapted personal collection while harmonizing with provided resources from MoMA: Museum of Modern Art. From the museum's logo to its navigation content, the materials seamlessly came together. Additionally, the project aimed to maintain consistency across all editorial and promotional elements, underscoring the overarching theme and narrative. For this project, no other object represented me more than pens. My admiration for the versatility of pens was strong, yet the frustration was immense. Due to the uncertain nature of pens... Will my pen break? Will the ink run out? Will it get lost? My ever-growing collection of Micron pens, frequently rebought due to their tendency to dry out, sparked the title “Memento Mori,” reflecting the ephemeral nature of pens and their symbolism in my work. By integrating these aspects, the project not only reflected my personal fascination for pens but also aligned with the aesthetic and thematic standards of MoMA, creating a unified and impactful presentation. All imagery was photographed, and retouched by myself.
