Branding

UW-Milwaukee - Panther Pale Ale

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

I was selected to design the packaging for a limited edition Panther Pale Ale, a unique collaboration between Milwaukee Athletics and Pilot Project Brewing. The project’s objective was to craft a design that not only encapsulated the energy and pride of Milwaukee but also stood out in an oversaturated retail market, ensuring the product caught the attention of consumers while reflecting UWM's character. Over the course of developing my design, I pitched nearly eight different iterations, refining my ideas based on feedback and creative insights. Ultimately, my design was chosen by UW-Milwaukee’s Chancellor to represent this special partnership. The packaging was then licensed, printed, and distributed citywide, making it available in retail locations throughout Milwaukee. This achievement marked me as the first designer to contribute to this project, which holds significant meaning both for the university and for the local community. The proceeds from the sales benefit several key areas, including UW-Milwaukee, Athletics, the Peck School of the Arts, and Pilot Project Brewing, supporting initiatives that impact students, faculty, and the local arts and brewing scenes. This collaboration provided me with the opportunity to showcase my skills in a real-world context, gaining invaluable experience in designing for both branding and retail environments. The success of this project was a major milestone in my design journey, as it allowed me to contribute to a widely recognized initiative while also pushing me to develop innovative solutions for a competitive market.
